GENESIS

Venugopal Institute of Independent Mathematics (VIIM) is an Independent Educational Initiative founded by Professor Dr. Thothathri Venugopal that promotes Mathematics as a Way of Thinking rather than merely a collection of formulas, focused on mathematics education, mathematical modelling, computational thinking, AI-assisted learning and research-oriented academic activities.

Areas of Focus: Mathematical Thinking | AI Assisted Mathematical Modelling | Computational Thinking | AI & Mathematics | Graph Theory | Operations Research | Simulation | Automata Theory | FOSS | Mathematical Software

VIIM focuses on making mathematics intuitive, visual, application-oriented, and accessible to learners of all backgrounds through software-driven demonstrations, hands-on problem solving, and real-world examples.

The institute conducts workshops, webinars, lecture series, Internships, Projects and Skill Training programs for students, teachers, researchers, and professionals. Its approach emphasizes logical reasoning, creativity, independent thinking, and deep conceptual understanding. Under Dr. Venugopal's leadership, VIIM aims to transform how mathematics is learned and taught by helping participants develop confidence, analytical skills, and a genuine appreciation for mathematical thinking.
