Appreciation from VC SCSVMV on automation of exam section  “As a policy we undertook in-house initiatives in order to ensure better control and security. Digitization of two major aspects of the Controller of Examinations was completed.

They are i) Question Bank Preparation & Just-in-Time question-paper Generation System called “Prashna Manjusha” which facilitates the creation of a large repository of questions for each subject. This automated system is fast, randomized, unbiased and secure.

ii) Digital Valuation Software – “Yantrankani” which facilitates on-screen evaluation of answer scripts wherein the digitized copies of answer books are assessed by the faculty members and marks awarded online. This system ensures faster evaluation, while minimizing errors and prevents any fraudulent use or tampering due to multi level checking.

The entire examination digitization automation is an example of emerging inter-disciplinary cooperation in our university - between the office of the Controller of Examination (Dr.T.Venugopal) and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
