It was a pleasure to meet Rev. Fr. Dr. Godwin Rufus, S.J., Principal of St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Palayamkottai, along with Dr. A. Anto Kinsley, Coordinator, Department of Artificial Intelligence, and Dr. S. Athisayanathan, Controller of Examinations.

Dr. S. Pasunkili Pandian, Associate Professor and Head (Retired), P.G and Research Department of  Mathematics, Aditanar College of Arts College,  Tiruchendur, Tamil Nadu 628216 - who was my PG classmate in St. Xavier’s College, accompanied me as a team member of VIIM.

Meeting Dr. Anto Kinsley and Dr. Athisayanathan was particularly special, as both were my teachers during my postgraduate studies in 1987.

I am deeply grateful to my alma mater for the warm reception, encouraging discussions and positive response to the proposed Academic Collaboration between St. Xavier’s College and the Venugopal Institute of Independent Mathematics (VIIM).

The proposal submitted to the college focuses on:

🔹 UG/PG project consultation in Mathematics and AI

🔹 Structured 30-hour internships in Mathematics with AI.

🔹 Experiential learning that promotes independent mathematical thinking, computational skills and real-world problem-solving.

I am particularly encouraged by the College’s invitation to academically associate with my alma mater.

I look forward to exploring meaningful ways to contribute to its academic initiatives and support the next generation of students.

Returning to the institution that shaped my academic journey and now exploring opportunities to contribute to its future is deeply fulfilling.

Thank you, St. Xavier’s College, for the encouragement and confidence. I look forward to a fruitful academic association!
